Old Stone Fort IDPA
(International Defensive Pistol Association)
The Old Stone Fort IDPA Club conducts a match the third Saturday of every month. Details for each match are sent out approximately one week before the match takes place. This match is a safe, friendly competition that will let individuals use their concealed carry or (regular) pistol and equipment to compete on a fair playing field. All shooters are welcome, from beginners to experienced competitors. The main goal is to test the skill and ability of the individual, rather than the equipment. IDPA offers an exciting forum for practical shooters in which truly practical equipment, techniques and courses of fire are mandated. All that is needed is a pistol, holster, magazine holder, three magazines and 100 rounds of ammunition. Please feel free to contact Eugene Frizzell at email@example.com or at 936-615-7473 if you have additional questions, or to be placed on the match e-mail list.
Old Stone Fort 2-Gun Match
Starting on the first Saturday of October and continuing on the first Saturday of the month, the Old Stone Fort Club will hold a two gun match, consisting of a pistol and carbine (usually an AR-15). The pistol used will be the same practical pistol described in the IDPA pistol match. The carbine can be iron sights or optics. These will be the two divisions. Even though this will not be an IDPA match, rules will be similar. Again, please contact Eugene Frizzell at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 936-615-7473 for more information or to be placed on the event e-mailing list.
